(I am still working on the title)
Jesus Teaches about the Law
(Matthew 5:17-20)
Concerning the Law Jesus said, “Do not misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the Law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. Rather, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you this truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of GOD’s law will disappear until it has achieved its purpose.
“Therefore, if you break even the least of the commandments and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. However, anyone who obeys GOD’s laws and teaches others to follow them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
“I must warn you, though, unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!”
– Parallel Bible: KJV, NLT & ASV
*The purpose Jesus served was to reconcile man to GOD, who established the code of righteousness for men to live by through the writings of Moses and the other prophets. GOD inspired those laws.

While belief in Christ and the salvation He offers gives forgiveness of sins, the Christian faith requires us to adhere to the laws GOD gave all of humanity. Jesus fulfills the purpose of the law. First, He teaches us that even He is subject to the laws that establishes righteousness in the Kingdom of God. Second, His existence does not supplant the law. Third, belief and acceptance of Him is the fulfillment and purpose of that law.

Therefore, to become a child of GOD, we cannot ignore any part of HIS Word. That includes the Old and New Testament together. No one can remove even one small part of the law for the purpose of satisfying man’s goals. Anyone who chooses to omit the parts that do not permit their life choices to exist, and then try to convince others that it is acceptable to behave similarly, are in danger of becoming the least in the Kingdom of God. Strive to live your life according to the Scriptures and teach others to do the same. GOD will reward you.

Jesus closed this teaching with a warning. The Pharisees of that time had a contorted view of rules and regulations that focused more on ceremonies and procedures than on being in tune with their GOD. He warns us to make sure that our efforts should focus on serving GOD in all aspects of our lives with faith in our hearts, not just rote procedures.

Education and Life Service Enhancement

I plan to finish mI plan to finish my college education for a Bachelor’s Degree in
Community Health. I must accomplish this degree to begin life coaching
for troubled and low income teens transitioning into adulthood. This
degree will also help me transition from a Paraprofessional to a
Certified Special Education teacher’s position. I am going to attend
though University of the People beginning in January.

Some of you may be aware that I am sheltering a family in need, so my
expendable funds are virtually non-existent. A generous person has
helped with the registration fees and I can compete for scholarships
for some of the classes, but I need help with other fees that may
arise. It is not much, but I do not have expendable income. Please
consider a small donation if you can. It will be deeply appreciated.

Many blessings for you,
Eddie Dollgener
